We wanted to create St Lucia's premiere luxury villa...
Akasha St Lucia was originally conceptualized by a team from the UK.
Using an award-winning architect we wanted to combine the sharp and
modern style with the relaxed lifestyle of Caribbean living, where most
time is spent outside relaxing with friends.
We found that most Caribbean residences had small windows and shutters
designed to keep out the heat, while this is a great idea we wanted our
guests to be exposed as much as possible to the fantastic Caribbean
views. We used alternative, modern technologies to keep the inside of
Akasha cool, while maintaining air flow.
The idea behind Akasha...
We had a vision to create the ultimate home on the island of St. Lucia,
and we succeeded. Nothing on this scale, with as much attention to
detail exists on the Island, and for the most part, throughout the
Caribbean.
In keeping with our big window concept we chose the hillside where
Akasha sits because of the stunning vistas offered from that particular
location. Each room has been designed to capture a portion of the
Caribbean sea.
Our design ensures that everyone has their own private space, however
there is a huge emphasis on socializing with huge areas for friends to
gather around the piano, bar, in the main living room, or on the
extensive terraces.
